Kim Yonamine, founder of Exclusive Island Weddings, is one of Maui’s most creative and innovative event planners. She has been blessed to have the opportunity to be born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui. Growing up in the islands she always had a niche for designing, organizing, and facilitating events. Which is what lead her to open Exclusive Island Weddings. In 2009 she started the company as a part-time company, only taking on a few weddings per year so that she could continue with her career as a project manager. After 4 years of managing both careers she decided that it was time to pursue her passion and dream as a full time wedding planner.

With over 17 years of experience, Kim brings her own unique sense of style, and her knowledge of the latest industry trends, plus a great team of youthful and dynamic vendors to make her clients dreams a reality. She has a great understanding of the big picture and an extensive knowledge of putting things together with flawless precision. Kim is a natural in the business, as clients are drawn to her professionalism, calming demeanor, and her attention to detail.
