When we asked the question “do you have any wedding planner suggestions?!” there was pure confidence and no hesitation from our venue’s coordinator when she recommended Exclusive Island Weddings to us. And now we know why. We hired EIW as our full service wedding planner before the COVID pandemic in 2019 for our supposed-to-be 2021 wedding. We had our wedding in 2022, so we have been working with Kim for nearly 2 1/2 years. Prior to COVID we had in person meetings with Kim and she was always fully prepared with our budget, timeline, outstanding tasks, etc. Through the pandemic, Kim remained in touch with us every step of the way. She gave us updates on the State of Hawai’i regulations for events and offered advice. Kim has the experience and strong relationships with local vendors, but allows you the flexibility to be creative and bring ALL your ideas. She’ll give you suggestions and scenarios so you can make the most informed decisions. Kim was always accessible, whether that was through email, text, phone call, or in person meetings. There was never an extended amount of time where we didn’t hear back from her. If she was going to be out of office, she made sure to communicate that in advance. As for our wedding day, she and her team had it all in control. We could hear some things that were going on, but never once did we have to carry that stress or responsibility because she and her team did for us. Kim’s not afraid to go the extra length(s) to make your dreams/vision come true. She and her team hauled our sweetheart couch out on to ROCKS to get our perfect “Island Boy meets City Girl” photographs. And no, this wasn’t our idea. This was hers! HOW AMAZING!! We wouldn’t have even thought of that… Straight up, Kim knows what she’s doing. There is no question there. She is focused and determined to make sure your wedding happens as you guys have been planning. There were a couple minor hiccups (as you can expect with any wedding), but overall it was beautiful and we had so much fun. What we appreciated most about Kim, is the transparency (we saw every invoice and number) and communication! The EIW team are all so sweet, respectful, and hardworking. THANK YOU!!!!!
