I had my share in planning/designing weddings and parties so initially it was difficult to understand the investment in a wedding coordinator. From the first conversation with Kim I felt like we were friends. After talking with her, I realized if I really wanted to enjoy the process and my special day I needed her services. Our monthly meetings were always so much fun. It was so nice to have someone to bounce ideas back and forth with, express my concerns and just talk wedding stuff. She was so professional, organized, prompt and personable. Her expertise reassured my vision, kept me realistic and helped bring my dream wedding to life! I wasn’t the easiest bride to work with as I changed my mind often, I wanted to use new vendors, design every aspect and change things that are normally done a certain way. Well, Kim was always so accommodating & made sure all those things were possible and executed. The Ka Hale Olinda venue was where we knew we always wanted to get married. The sweeping upcountry views, lush green landscape and that magical tree filled with lights really added all the feels to our wedding. If you see yourself falling in love with this place too, Kim is the only one for the job. She knows the house and property better than anyone and we got to enjoy it a little extra because of her. She also let us use her chandelier, benches, and any other items we may have needed for no charge. If she has it, she so generously shares it. Your investment is stretched so unbelievably far and when it’s all said and done you’ll realize it was priceless! When it came to the day of, I wasn’t stressed at all – they handled ALL the vendors, set up everything exactly how I wanted it, assisted my bridal party, helped with the guests, took pictures for us, served us with cocktails, refilled our pupu line, served us dinner, got my garter and bouquet ready, told me when to walk, where to be and made sure everything was perfect. Not to mention the tons other things that happened behind the scenes. They literally do it all – clean up too! The morning of my wedding I found myself placing flowers and centerpieces during set-up and Kim had to tell me “Go inside, we got this and want you to enjoy your day.” That really is their main objective, to provide you with an enjoyable, memorable experience. I could actually exhale and be in the moment. Kim is very involved in the planning process, especially when it comes to the actual event. I’ve seen some coordinators assist in the planning and design process and then send their staff to work the event. Kim is there the entire time with a full staff to make sure everything runs smoothly. Kim put so much extra time, love and effort into making sure our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be. Mahalo Kim and Exclusive Island Weddings. Cheers to the many more dream weddings you’ll make come true.
